Niederburg Kobern by Splotch

- from life, refined later - Drawn on my recent bike tour along rhine and moselle. Just wanted to cover this typical "castle and vineyard" sujet.

I am loving this. The simple stroke of the white flagpole just makes this for me. I am also very envious of the idea of biking down the rhine and sketching as you go. I've done a few speedpaints of castles recently - including Neuschwanstein - but unfortunately they have only been from reference to get my juices pumping. I have a long weekend tour planned in a few weeks of the local coastline (which will include a few castles along the route), and after enjoying your recent posts I'm hoping to have as much success. One things for sure; it will probably be overcast, or raining, here in the UK so I guess colour picking won't be so much of a problem as it might have been for you. :) Nice to see a few results of your trip. Got any more?

@ENB: "Typical" for the region of course and I´m not complaining about possible sujets ;-)There where so many things "worth" drawing and always to little time ... @Munin: Yes, there are some more pictures, but I need to work a bit on them. As you´ve said, some where painted in really difficult lighting situations and need some refine! All the best wishes for your bike tour (and especially good weather) and I´m really, really currious about your painintings you are bringing back!
