wood is essential to minecraft survival,making a workbench is probably the first thing you do.
step2:
find shelter
after you spent most of your daylight havesting wood,you now need shelter.lest you be attacked by monsters.
step3
mine like crazy!!!!!
dont go out to forage just yet,mine rock so you can make houses and fences.mine for coal to make lamps.
