This game has received so much love, I know it's a bit farfetched, but i'm hoping for an animation adaptation haha.
Hey, the guy made an entire game just by himself with a handful of helpers, why not?

yeah?? uuugh ive thought of so many things that couldve happened before hand its crazy (i.e., i dont remember exactly how it went but i know quote curly were sent there for a reason other than to fight the mimiga (i think that they went to destroy the crown?? idk) but id like to think that both quote and curly found themselves in a really tight spot. Curly decided to have Quote stay in the bunker you first play as him in (in the 3ds version it looks more like a little fort/hut) and she took his weapon (or he gave it to her either or) and in exchange she gave him her hat (the game says the hat says curly? yea) and while she left him, (continued)

--more spoil-- someone (idk who) realised that the androids were attacking the core (thats why you find them all dead basically) or that curly went to find the crown and shut down all the bots. Since curly and quote were not exposed to anything that woukdve destroyed them, they were rebooted 10 years later and then the game begins. @foxtail

Hhhh, (wow, late responce sorry!) but yes, soooo much potential. We can only hope.
Besides, there are tons of games that got movies... at some point.
Sure they're not always good but, i'm sure Cave Story would be an exeption. uwu
