I was in the middle of a rather decent redesign of an older character of mine done with some artistic effort, not just a cheap 'character ref page'. Background, 3D, the whole shebang. As soon as I was finished and went to save, however, my system crashed. I had to restart, and when I returned to my C!3D app, ALL MY PAINTINGS WERE GONE.
You don't need to take pity on me, but I would really like some advice on how I can prevent this in the future or if this has happened to anyone else.

Oh man... Yeah, Colors! 3D tends to do stuff like that if you have a lot of paintings.

That said, SD cards are finicky things that are not to be trusted with lots and lots of things saved to it.
Even the hefty ones.

Sorry that happened. Maybe you should export all of your paintings as soon as you can? The paintings are saved in a way that is compatible with computers.
