Deuterognathus pinniremus by Guppin

Here's something I drew in the beginning of the school year on paper (I like to draw on paper first so that I can fit the entire creature in the painting). D. pinniremus is an aquatic reptile whose notable features are long wiskers, oar-like flippers, dual eyes, and pharyngeal jaw. They inhabit deep, dark ocean waters during the day and rise to hunt near the surface at night. Anyone who can figure out the meaning of the scientific name gets a cookie!
