Heh heh...I think because young artists draw from example. Most characters that I think of are light-skinned, light-eyed, etc.

Despite being superduper white (when I was first born you could see ALL the veins underneath my skin it was freaky), for some reason I really don't like drawing fair-skinned people?? Most of the things I draw are ethnic?? Yeah
Plus how do you shade pale skin I have a hard time finding different values of color
