I'm not sure about leaving though..A few of my friends are here (Though many have left...) and dA is a little too big for me..

Also I have a lot of memories on this account, and I don't want them to be lost..

I'm thinking the same to, i've been very inactive bc school and a play but also bc this app isn't as fun and exciting as before. I also don't feel like improving anymore and i wanna learn again how to draw more professionaly than this silly drawing program with barely 5 layers.. But if you decide to leave, DA is the best way to stay in touch with friends i think.. i get that it's really big but you should explore it some more bc there are many amazing things about DA.

I've had some similar thoughts, but I'm still improving on Colors and I don't get many comments on dA. I might be getting a drawing tablet soon, though, and I may emigrate to dA then.

I'll understand completely if you want to go, it's your decision. Just remember this; the reason the Colors community is less interesting now is because many great artists like you are leaving.

I agree. Everytime I come me and my friends get further and further apart to the point where I don't even want to waste time messaging them. I love art and this place is great to express yourself, but so many people take advantage of the freedoms this place gives them. Either that or they come on solely to goof off without getting their $7.00 worth or however much this app costs. I myself have matured in my time not on here and now act like nothing is happening, when really the community is decaying by the day. I wouldn't blame you if you stayed here a year or two and wanted out. I've been here over a year and from when I started to now it's just gotten worse.

The thing about online communities, art related or not, will always fall prey to issues such as theft,copying, cyber-bullying, and trolling since people on the internet can be as mean or stupid as they want since they're hiding behind their computer/phone/tablet screens. I remember Flipnote Hatena got pretty bad before it was closed and websites like deviant art, youtube etc have these issues but one-hundred times worse. I think a bigger issue within the colors community is that most users will always be underdogs despite their level of skill or how hard they work since 90 percent of users only watch popular users already in their followers list. Maybe you need to just take a break from the online part of colors and just draw for your own enjoyment.

It's really a shame this is happening to colors...It used to be such a fun place...I miss the old times so much...

And I might just take a break from the community...I hope that will help..

@artist pedro Exactly. The Colors community is far from perfect but not as nearly bad as most famous websites are where there's a lot more people who go out of their way to be @$$holes to everyone they come across . Though some people have a hard time IRL and use colors to vent their frustrations.

*sigh* I guess I'll stay but I won't upload much. I'll still be liking pics and commenting, but I won't be very active when it comes to posting actual art.

When I get a tablet I plan to upload most of my main art on dA but use Colors for sketches/doodles/contests/ chatting/etc. You could do something like that, if you want.

I'm leaving this place 'cuz all i see any more is stolen art, traced pics, sh.tty art, bullies, a.sholes, and everything else. This place just isn't what it used to be.

This is exactly what happened with Flipnote Hatena... It's so sad... But please don't leave. I think maybe a break would help if you really wanted to get away from here for a while.

Maybe take a month or two off, like I did. I meant to leave for a week, but I forgot and it turned into 2 months! Colors! is easily forgettable to me.

People have forgotten that this a freakin' art gallery and not social media outlet.
I used to feel like this [how you feel] in regards to Colors!, but then I started ignoring the stupid crap.
