There is actually a good reason I changed the face up so much. It's a lot easier for me to draw actual expressions like this. Though the transition is rather awkward between the versions.

Your style sure has been shifting around a lot as of late.
Which could really just mean you're trying out new techniques, which is, as a whole, a good thing.
Regardless, I like this transition quite a lot.
