Well... okay... but remember that studying alone doesn't do much. If you don't understand something, ask somebody about it. In fact, the sole duty of a teacher is to make sure students UNDERSTAND what is being taught; not to just drone on with lectures.
It's never a bad thing to ask for help.

Okay, shyness is perfectly fine, but remember that it is a teacher's JOB to answer questions; they're not allowed to refuse private help, ya know. Maybe you can find a time (lunch, perhaps?) to seek help when there aren't other students around?
And If you can't find help from a teacher, then maybe one of your friends can help.
That's what friends are for, right?
