This is from a videogame, and I changed a couple things. The mermaid's fin is actually different, but I wanted it to look more traditional. Also, the mermaid isn't so humanoid, but I felt like making her this way.
Anywho, this is from one of my fave games ever and I'd be really surprised if someone knew it, which is why it's a competition thing. Also by the way...

Well, I'm bummed no one knew it, but then again I didn't expect anyone to. xD It's from the fifth game in the Monkey Island series, Tales of Monkey Island.
I would recommed the Monkey Island series to anyone who enjoys puzzles, comedy or adventure games because it's all of the above. They're kind of old, the first was released in like the late 80s early 90s. So, it was pixelized, but there's anniversery editions that are revamped. The fifth (and latest) one was released in two thousand nine though, so all of them are spread over a long time. But, long story short, it's one of my favorite games and I'd recommend it. :D
