Yes, Faolan is from a book called Wolves of the Beyond.
Written by the author of Guardians of Gahoole.
The series has six books, and it's over I believe.

I think the Wolves of the Beyond books say 'faolan' means something like 'river gift'. It makes sense if you read the story. :y
