*Joshua is walking around lost in the woods. he accidentally wandered off the trail and can't find his way and keeps going deeper into the woods*

*malkus hears him walking and heads in his direction*

*Joshua keeps walking*

*he spies Joshua and grins in delight*

*he holds his hand.*

Joshua: eh, still blind. my family and i are on a camping trip but they were just playing with a camera or something so i decided to come see you.

Malkus: "Amazing! ...can I meet them..?"

Joshua: i don't know how they'd react if they saw you.

*he gets 'em back to the trail*
Malkus: "we are on the trail again."

Joshua: k, thank you. *he takes Malkus' hand and leads him to a clearly where there's a tent and a fire pit with a few chairs around it* they should be around here somewhere...

Malkus: "humans and their weird items.." :y

Joshua: i prefer sleeping in the open. *he carefully makes his way over to the tent and nudges it with his foot* mm... i don't think they're here right now...

Malkus: aww :p

Joshua: wanna look for em? oorrr... wait for em to come back?

Malkus: "I can look for them. I know this forest perfectly." :3

Joshua: want me to come with you?

Malkus: "i think it'll be better if you stay here. I'll be moving quickly and i dun want ya to get hurt."

Joshua: okay. be careful not to scare my parents. they don't really know about anything except the typical human things.

*malkus heads off in search of Josua's parents*

*Joshua sits on one of the chairs, deep in thought*
*his parents are down at the dock fishing. Joshua takes after his father in appearance, but his father is alittle taller and muscular, and his mother is a thin pretty lady with long red-ish brown hair and green eyes*

*malkus casually walks up on the dock, walking with his staff*

*his father's name is James and his mother's name is Autumn*
*they both slowly turn to face Malkus and their jaws drop and they stare in utter shock*
James: what the h3ll?

*he tilts his head curiously at them, holding his staff in both hands*
Malkus: "Hello, there. Fine day, no?"
*he honestly looks more like a forest spirit/druid than a demon*
(but he kinda isn't either of those...)

Autumn: who are you?
James: what are you? and what do you want?

Malkus: "I am Malkus. Basically the guardian of the forest... I was looking for you both... Would you mind returning to your camp with me?"
*he spears 3 big fish for them*
Malkus: "That should be enough, right? Come."
*he turns, ready to head back*

James: uh sure...
*he gathers their things and they go back to their camp*
Autumn: what is this about sir...?
*Joshua is asleep in the chair*

Malkus: "I wanted to meet you." :3

James: may i ask why?
Joshua: zzz
*Autumn covers Joshua with a blanket*

Malkus: "Because I met your son."
*he pokes Joshua awake*

*Joshua wakes up alittle and stretches*
Autumn: how long have you known him..?
*James starts cleaning and gutting the fishes*

Malkus: "I came across him awhile back. He was alone. But I took a liking to him and let him stay the night where I dwell, then he went back to you, I believe..."

Joshua: mhmm...
James: yeah, that one night where he said he was gunna go out for a walk and didn't come back until the next morning. i remember that.

Malkus: "I kept him safe. I am the top of the food chain, so no creatures ever bother me."

*Joshua stretches again, he has a cramp in his neck from sleeping in the chair*
Autumn: we have no doubt that you kept him safe.

Malkus: "And now I met him again in my woods. He lost the trail when I found him and brought him back here. Then I decided to meet you both."

*Joshua laughs sheepishly*
Autumn: oh dear...

*malkus waves his hand non-chalantly*
Malkus: "At least everyone is safe now, right?"

Joshua: was i in any sort of danger?
James: thanks for lookin' out for him.

Malkus: "Maybe wolves. It was no big deal for me."
*he strokes his horns*

*Joshua gets up*
Autumn: how long have you been in this forest?

Malkus: "For a long time, I take it...."

Joshua: what do you mean?
Autumn: why do you say that?

Malkus: "Because so many years must've passed that I lost count!" <xD

Joshua: whoa.
Autumn: well then.

Malkus: "aah..." l3

*Joshua stretches* can we go hiking?

Malkus: "sounds fine to me."

Joshua: yes! *finds his jacket and goes off in a random direction*
James: oh sweet jesus. Malkus, i don't care where you guys go, just make sure he gets back here in one piece.

Malkus: "haha, yea. I'll keep watch over him."

*Joshua be walking along again*

*malkus walks up behind him and nuzzles his neck*

Joshua: hehe *he reaches back and strokes Malkus' hair*

*he closes his eyes. his hair is soft and smooth*

*Joshua runs his fingers through it repeatedly* your hair is so soft

*Malkus presses his forehead against Joshua's, eyes closed*

*he kisses Malkus' cheek softly*

Malkus: "I could make you be like me..." <3

Joshua: like you..? what do you mean..? <3

*he holds his hands against Joshua's head and moves them as if he were touching invisible horns*
Malkus: aaaahh..

Joshua: oh... hmm....

*he leans his forehead on joshua's again*
malkus: mmm..

*Joshua closes his eyes* alright...

*malkus closes his eyes and a light flares. Joshua wakes up in malkus' place. his head is fuzzy and things feel weird. he has been malkus-ified. a pair of horns, claws, tail, similar clothing, except blue and green. pointed ears and better senses, ect.*

*Joshua wakes up and shakes his head a bit* ugh...

Malkus: aahh..

Joshua: Malkus...
(did the transformation restore his sight?)

Joshua: oh. my head feels weird. *he sits up* but i can hear and smell better than i could before. <3

Malkus: "mm... you look wonderful..." <3

Joshua: thank you. <3

Malkus: "mm... let us go.."

Joshua: where are we going?

Malkus: "To have your parents see you new look!" :3

Joshua: how do you think they'll react?

Malkus: "i dunno."

Joshua: i can expect for them to atleast be shocked. *he gets up*

Malkus: "It was your decision... if they react really bad to it, i think i can change you back...."

Joshua: i love my parents, but it's my decision. if they don't like it, oh well i guess.

*they arrive back at the camp*

Joshua: well... here we are. *he walks over to his parents' tent and nudges it and waits for them to come out*
*James and Autumn emerge looking like they've just woken up*

*Malkus stands back a bit, waiting for their reaction*

*they just stand there, starring at Joshua for a few minutes, speechless*

*Malkus looks around, getting a bit impatient*

James: what the h3ll Joshua?
Joshua: it was my choice... i didn't have anything to lose by making the choice that i did. i still can't see, but i can hear and smell more things than i could before...the senses that i still have are better than they ever were before.....

(i... have no one to turn to. no one who knows me well enough. i see my friends and family suffering, dying, growing distant. I feel like i am cursed to be alone. that i curse anyone near me to be driven away or suffer.

*Joshua says fare-well to his parents*

*malkus takes Joshua's hand to guide him and heads deep into the woods*

*he follows and listens to all the things he couldn't hear before*

*they head up into the tree hut*
Malkus: "mm. what do you think so far??"

Joshua: it's wonderful. i can smell so many things, and hear so many sounds that i didn't know were even there.

*he nuzzles him and lays down for the night*

*Joshua cuddles him*

*morning pokes into the hut*

*Joshua is sound asleep*

*he gently strokes joshua's hair, then jumps out of the hut. he hunts and eats his fill of human. he returns before joshua awakens*

*Joshua wakes up just after Malkus returns*

*he bends down and caresses Joshua like a parent bird does a chick*

Joshua: morning Malkus. <3

Malkus: "good morning. are you hungry?"

Joshua: alittle *he sits up*

*malkus kisses his mouth*

*Joshua kisses him back*

*he gives up food for him and makes him eat it*

*he eats the food given to him*

*he kisses Malkus' cheek* <3

*malkus snuggles him with his warm leaf-feathers*

*Joshua cuddles into the warmth*

Malkus: "mm.. how do you feel?"

Joshua: i feel good.

Malkus: "What do you wish to do?"

Joshua: mmm... i don't know.....

Malkus: "want to go human hunting??"

Joshua: mmm... sure..

*he takes joshua's hand and they leap easily and quietly from branch to branch, searching for lone humans*

Joshua: i can smell one.

Malkus: "shh, down to the left..."

*he looks down in the human's general direction*

*Malkus sprinkles knock-out powder over the human, who passes out almost immediately*

*Joshua jumps down next to the human* i wonder what they were doing here all alone.

Malkus: "They try to prove themselves. I hunt a few, but not all."
*he snaps the human's neck*

*Joshua shivers when he hears the snap of the neck*

*Malkus tears off a big chunk of flesh and puts it up to Joshua's mouth. it tantilizes him*

*Joshua sniffs the flesh and licks his lips then eats it*

*after jpshua's teeth shead and gulp down that peice nearly whole, Malkus hands him a severed arm*

*Joshua takes the arm and quickly eats it*

*malkus starts taking big bite outta the corpse*

*Joshua joins him in eating the corpse*

*they soon devour it all. bones, clothes and everything. they finish and stand up*

Joshua: that was surprisingly good. *he licks his lips*

Malkus: "mm. yes. let's return to the treetops."
*he jumps up to the trees holding Joshua's hand. they hear a group of humans in the distance, taking a stroll, it seems*

Joshua: think they're looking for monsters?

Malkus: "idk."
*the group comes into sight*

*He crouches down on the tree branch and listens to the group, they're being loud and obnoxious and acouple of them are smoking, the smell causes Joshua to wrinkle his nose in disgust*

Malkus: "typical jerk-humans... not even the better humans, they are jerk-humans.."

Joshua: mhm... *he stands up* wanna tail em?

Malkus: "sure. just be stealthy"

Joshua: i'd probably be better on the ground then. just in case i accidentally slip.....

(good night)

Malkus: "No. they will attack you. stay with me."
*he holds onto Joshua*

Joshua: okay. *he holds his hand*

*they follow the group*

Joshua: i don't like humans like these.

Malkus: "me neither.."

Joshua: they're arrogant and careless.

Malkus: "indeed they are..."
*he moves on*

Joshua: i'm thirsty.

*Malkus hands him a water skin*

*Joshua takes the water skin and drinks from it*

Malkus: "what now?"

Joshua: why did you take a liking to me?

Malkus: "mm. Your soul shows that you are a very good person."

Joshua: thank you. *he smiles*

*he hugs Malkus*
