it could be some kind of new drug testing site waaaay out it the middle of noweare and wile they escape, one kid was captured back and ready for testing. and even after all that, they failed to escape and were brought back to there cells

that one kid was tested with a new drug and died in the process... and when his friends heard that his body was to be desposed of, they were devistated. but the next day a gaurd reported in that he saw someone standing on top of the junk pile in the dump a few miles away.

Also, it isn't a pumpkin face; it is actually K!ller Lol's motif: the bloody cat. It resembles the design of the mask she wears which in-turn is modeled after what her face in anthro form. Plus it just looks cool. It usualy has a top hat on the right side, but things were getting too crowded.

P.S Animes to watch: Soul Eater (Just watch it. It does have suggestive scenes in it, so beware of that, but everything else about it, especialy the creativity & character arcs, is excellent & fun & frikin' awesome.), Princess Mononoke, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, & Death Note (If you really want an intense mystery/supernatural complex story then watch Death Note. Same things to watch out for with Soul Eater, but you will not be dissapointed. It is one of the most intense detaild exciting animes ever created.)
