They should make a Sonic game where you make your own character, it'd be really cool, Btw, I don't entirly like how Sonic completly took a Mario perspective now, They need to make more Sonic games like Sonic DX!

I remember reading about the "Nintendon't" thing in GameInformer, and how the rivalry was pretty heated.

The idea behind the entire Sonic franchise was actually based on Sonic's creator trying to beat the first level of Super Mario Bros. as fast as he could when he was a kid.

I believe @ZebraRT was trying to refer to the Wii U.

It was also stated Sonic was thought of by the creator trying to get a fast time in 1-1 of Super Mario Bros :l

the reason i don't like sonic is because he isn't even an actual character...he was only made to beat mario. and he failed, because more people know who mario is than mickey mouse. freakin mickey mouse man.
and c'mon, even the fans know bad his games are...all sega cared about was beating nintendo. you're supposed to give your characters a good meaning, not to out beat someone.

I have to say, I agree with Nyoko on this...

Does it truly matter if they have the same pallete? Yes, I know some will say 'this goes further than the pallete.' Not all Sonic fans have mental disorders and/or mental disabilities. I know I certainly don't.
If you look deeper into the fandom there are those who are actually tame, and have morals and understand each other's opinions. Just like Nyoko has stated, no one can control the fandom, not even SEGA themselves. Why should the mascot be blamed and hated on just by the influence of the fandom? Every fandom has people who make the subject seem horrible and crappy, even if they don't look like they do.
It's alright to not like something, we're all different. But trashing the fandom like no tomorrow makes us no better than those "autistic idiots."

...I just felt like I needed to get this out there. Normally I wouldn't comment at all, but all of these rude comments really hurt me, and just reminded me that the wars will never end...
