Yay.
Now, you may be wondering, "Who's this weird alien-thing Owle drew"? But allow me to explain: This is Ceto, one of the main characters in a comic I'm planning to do soon on dA. (Actually, if you found my dA, you would've seen all four of them.)
For continuity's sake, I probably should have done the MAIN main character first, but hey, who doesn't love the crazy doctor character?
Now, let me explain the comic. It's a spoof of typical Japanese battle monster shows, like Pokémon. But instead of screwing around on Earth and battling people, the focus is on these four teenagers who protect the universe in outer space in a ship.
Why are they in space? Well, read on: There are six major planets based off of the elements, with the first four being Helios(Sky), Benthos(Sea), Hervita(Life) and Calor(Heat). Everyone has a small creature of their type (called Lokaijū) called a Travel Lokaijū, and also have a larger Battle Lokaijū for dealing with dangerous ones. The last two planets are Magus(Magic) and Umbra(Dusk) typed, and Lokaijū from either planet are extremely rare.
One day on the planet Helios, there was a "Take Your Kid To Work Day" event while various families from Benthos, Hervita and Calor joined together to celebrate the technological success of the Helians, as they have invented a super-sonic space shuttle for missions. However, a Lokaijū from Umbra destroyed the facility housing the

...event, and most of the attendees were drawn into the vacuum of space. Four children, however, managed to climb onto the shuttle and power it up, escaping Helios.
This is Ceto, as I stated above. She's from the planet Benthos, and like every other Benthian, is half aquatic (In her case, shark.)
Before the "Take Your Kid to Work Day" accident, Ceto wanted to become a lifeguard, but decided to take a more medical approach with her job on the ship. She's the one you go to if you're ever in trouble, but her medical knowledge only goes as far as reading a few books on the subject. While her treatments might be a bit unethical and questionable, she'll make sure you're back on your feet in no time.
Unless you make her mad. The last person you want mad at you is the person that holds your life in her hands.
While Ceto does care for her shipmates, she can be rather impatient and aggressive on occasion, even to the point of ranting during procedures.
She's also fairly handy, and has rebuilt a standard harpoon gun that is used by most Benthians for hunting into a spring-loaded rifle that also works as a grappling hook.
