Well that's beautiful! I like how scattered and washed-out everything looks! The shard-effect you used for the wings and halo really looks other-worldly and interesting. It's one of my favorite effects to use! The markings, how you splattered them a little, looks great! You must've also used a lot of layers for the bg and over-tone! It paid off nicely and gives the picture an aged feeling' Your anatomy could use a little work. The shoulders are rather small and his arms seem almost annerexic- but who am I to talk? Besides, it's an anthro & I love anthros! I think it looks wonderful!
Aw! Your quite welcome! I'm happy it made you happy! Thank you for that! It's good to know that my art is good! ^-^ So, anatomy is basicaly the study of the structure of the body. In an artistic sence it's knowing where to put arms, drawing the correct porportions, how to properly define muscles, knowing the shapes of ears, etc. It's knowing how to correctly draw things and where to put them. Take eyes for example: dogs have two eyes and they are placed in the front of the skull side by side. If you made them too big or made them crooked or drew them too small, that would be poor anatomy. But if they were perfectly side-by-side, well rounded, and acurately sized then that would be perfect anatomy. Usualy the only time anatomy does not come into account is when your drawing in a very stylized way, like if you were drawing in the very cartoony style of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, then anatomy doesn't matter as much because of the style your using. On the other hand, if-
your trying to be more realistic with your art then anatomy is almost everything. Look at any old painting of kings and queens and you'll see them drawn in a hyper realistic style and the anatomy is pretty much spot-on. Thats anatomy. On another note, it's good to know your Catholic, too! It's nice too see someone else like me around ^-^.
