After getting into University (which had selective exams, just to be clear) I started sending sms to my friends from both middle school and high school.
In some cases, we did agree we would go out the next day, but then they dumped me at 1in the morning (I was soundly asleep by the way) saying they had something else to do and couldn't go out anymore. If I hadn't checked my online chat at 6 a.m. I wouldn't have found that out.

And I would have just waited for them in a town which is 100 km far from my hometown... (I don't have internet on my phone and free wifi hotspots are RARE).
In other cases, they won't even answer my sms, and when I called them, they just said: "sorry, I completely forgot about you!"
I did really feel hurt, at that moment.
Friendship is, at least for me, giving everything you have to someone else, and always being there to help them, or at least try. It's loyalty, it's kindness, it's comprehension.
I did try my best to be the kind of friend I wish to have, but it looks like it's either not enough, or it's just that I have really high standards about friends and friendship. That's why I'm starting doubting whether my type of Friendship could actually exist.
I don't believe I'm at wrong, nor I believe I'm the one lacking something (well, I AM really a selective person, but still...),but it really stroke me the fact that NO ONE searched for me ever. I was always the one asking people
