These refs make it feel like actual game characters to me. Good job mate. I was using different animation programs awhile ago, and there is one called DAZ 3D it's free, but its a 3D animation tool not 2D. You can use different backgrounds, scenes, cameras, poses, and I guess create your own character, they post tutorials on there website. And it is free, but you can buy different packages in the program im assuming.
