When I saw the final episode of space dandy,I was amazed!
Anyway this pic shows Piplup almost fading away from exsistence,she thens says
Piplup:"Don't worrt I know there's always hope." and she then disappeared

My only suggestion is when or if you do a starry background again, try using the soft brush with varying sizes and opacity (clearness).
