I've watched a few of TOS (the original series), all of TNG (the Next Generation. I concur, the best!) none of DS9 (Deep Space 9) and I'm 12 episodes from finishing Voyager. I've watched most of Star Trek Enterprise as well.

As for movies I've seen Kahn, Search for Spock, Voyage home, Undiscovered Country (yes, we haven't found the firdt movie and we accidently skipped Star Trek V) XD. We've seen the "Picard era" movies and the two new ones by J.J.Abbrams.

Data is my favorite character. :D

My favorite original movie is The Voyage Home, because it was the most humorous.

I like Nimoy Spock more than Sha'tner Kirk, but I like new Kirk better than new Spock. XD

Idk what'll happen with TNG because of J.J.Abbrams' adaption, hopefully [SPOILER to other readers] Data doesn't "die" this time. He was too awesome. The actor, Brent Spiner, is like my favorite Trek Actor, or at least one of my top favorites.

Re: Well, I liked the new movies. Yeah, Spock isnt as good as the old one. Kirk is funny though. I never REALLY liked the old Kirk much. Spock, Bones and Scotty were the stars to me.
Yeah, Wrath of Kahn and Into Darkness had too much similar things going on. Heck, they werent the same time frames either, so why were the events in a lot of cases the same?

Also, the girl in Into Darkness, Marcus' daughter. She's the mother of David, Kirk's son. I think you already knew that but I just want to tell ya that.

Re: You're right about new Kirk. And I think of them seperate from the originals completely too. Truth is, realisticly and fictionally, they are totally different characters. Kirk's dad died in the new movie when he was born, so he didn't have the responsable thinking added to his mind. Think about how much anybody would be if somebody in their life was taken or added INTO their past? It would change them.
I think of it as two different Kirks and two different Spocks. Even the Enterprise I see as different. It's not just you. I think every Trekker sees it that way.

I would love to see a new The Next Generation movie with the original cast! But that's not gonna happen cuz Brent Spiner gave up on being Data cuz he said "Data has an young, innocent face. I cannot hold up to that any longer" (something like that).

and I didn't find out about Data until like 2 weeks ago actually XD It's on Brent Spiner's Wikipedia thing. It says that he retired from Data after the movies cuz he was getting kinda old and wasn't looking the part. (They could've easily just made Data want to show age or something. But noooooo, they had to just k!ll him off. XD)

He actually wanted to quit Data in between the movies I think.
