San Francisco was big, busy, and beautiful, never lacking in interesting places or people. Digginstown was a sleepy little Northern California town full of trees and dirt. The town had been born in the days of the California Gold Rush, and hadn't seen much excitement since 1849. But it had seen a lot of deer.
