cool painting and you have a nice gallery. Regarding rendering in 3d, if you use the "mapping" tool to map the layer you're working on onto the other layers you will have the same image on each layer. Now use the 'eraser' on the lowest opacity to "chisel" away at the top layer. You will find the 3d transitions between layers seemlessly creating 'smooth' 3d. It's almost like combining painting and sculpting.
Using the above technique can give the illusion of more than 5 layers too. i have a painting called "gallaxy's eye". i used this effect for the asteroid field. hope these posts are helpful, you have a wonderful imagination. will be interesting to see how you progress with 3d so YOU EARNED A NEW FOLLOWER!!!! :D
Thanks! Copying layers and 'chizzling' with the eraser seems like an really interesting way to get 3D effect. I'll be sure to try that sometime soon. An airbrush style eraser option would help a lot though. Thanks again for sharing. I also like your work a lot: it's varied and original, and yes, I see how your 3d techniques improved from Stewy to that dragon! I suspect that getting the 3d effect convincing with flat and stylised artstyles to be more challenging. Anyway, I'll be following! :-)
Cool !^^ I love the contrast entre light and rain !^^ Oh ! And I love the draw with the castle and the dragon. It'was sooooooo nice ! ^^ And ... please, check out my gallery. Plz, plz, plz, plz, etc ... ^^
