Accusation by Professomy

Inspired by a short story I wrote based on the one-word prompt "Accusation." Here's an excerpt:

"This pocket-watch was his! It was his most prized possession, passed down for generations long before his father, to him, and now to me. I used to think it’d look silly for a girl to have a dirty old chain draped across her dress. Now, the gilded metal, shined to brilliance by the shopkeeper, gleamed in the late summer sun. No one but an O’Hara should have this, and I’d wear it proudly. Once I got away from this old town, of course. But there was no one I cared about holding me back, and the wind of, admittedly truthful, accusations pushed me forward under the setting sun."
