Darken by Mina the Demon
My attempt at creating a species.
Darken's are dragon-like creatures that live in the relm of darkness. Their eyes glow, allowing them to see perfectly in any dark.
They usually all stand upright and their bodies seem deprived of nutrients, but they survive on any energy they can find. Their perfered energy source is humans, where they live inside their host.
Their relationship isnt parasitic but rather mutualistic...

When a Darken chooses a human host, they both benifit.
The Darken has a constant energy source, and the human gains control of the Darken and it's abilities.
Darkens are usually black and grey, but sometimes can be darker versions of any other color.
Also they dont usually have marking but if they do, it's usually dark stripes or spots.
Darkens, once inside a human host, have the ability to control shadows. This ability crosses over into tne human host aswell.
If any human enters their relm, they cannot leave until they become a host, and that relm is a very dangerous place.

I like this species, it's very creative and cool-looking. I may try drawing it someday if that's all right with you. :) I love those greyish colours and the spikes.
