I'm aware of how messed up the story I'm about to tell you is.. So, uh..yeah. When I was 12, and the never ending nightmares started, I was too paranoid to sleep because of the things I kept seeing in them. I didn't sleep for about a week. So what did I do? I took sleeping drugs to help me sleep. "but how did a twelve year old boy get drugs?!" I faked being sick so my mom would let me take cold medicine that made you tired. It went on for a month.. It was horrible. (cont)

I didn't eat, I couldn't focus on anything, and it just made the nightmares worse. From what I can tell, all the effects STILL haven't worn off to this day; I always look tired, even though I'm not, and it's harder for me to sleep. I never told my mom, but I did tell my sister...She was pretty mad...Moral of the story, don't do drugs children.

sorry to hear man, I can see how it still affects you, but by now you should be psychologically ready to get yourself back on track with sleep and stuff. What I do is on the weekends, after keeping to a school schedule(idk lol) I'll stay up till 12 at the latest, and set my alarm for like 9, giving you at least Seven and a half hours of sleep, and sometimes i wake up early and feel great lol idk its different but its worth a try/ on another note, i kept taking cough syrup at one time to help me sleep for school, it didnt exactly help with performance XD so yea, I kinda understand ur deal here bud, hope you stay strong

Robotripping or self medicating are both dangerous. It's good that you know that now, but it's a shame you didn't tell anyone else about the nightmares.

I've experienced a lot of nightmares in my childhood. They never went away until I turned 9.
