Often hunted for the strange crystals that grow on their bodies, These crystals are not a natural feature of the animal, they do however rely on each other to reproduce as the crystal is used to lay eggs for the creatures offspring and the crystal relies on the offspring to spread the crystal which over many years replaces all bone in the creatures.
