For those of who are curious, this situation is refered to as a "paradox" Any piece that is not an edge or corner, is like an [interger], and rotating the pieces is known as a [real]. These terms are known as variables. Everytime the [real] is rotated 90 degrees, the affected [intergers] are multiplied by negative factors. Basically, this situation is expected to happen about 50 percent of the time, and there is no easy way to know if this is happening.

the regular 3x3 rubiks I got came with solving instructions. I can solve it only because of those but don't really understand why exactly it works. This looks way too complex for me :)

After looking up cheats online and solving it a thousand times, I think I finally understand (part of) my 3x3 rubik's cube... :p but you sound like you'd like my uncle. He's totally into puzzles--I don't get how he does it, but there really aren't too many that take him much longer than a few minutes to figure out...

I still cant solve an ordinary Rubix cube XD my first Rubix cube took me 5 months to solve (I was only about 6 XD)
