River woke and snuck out of the den, searching for a large tree. Once she found it, she climbed all the way to the top and took a deep breath. She opened her wings, which felt weird, and jumped. Suddenly her dad's voice appeared in her head, "I will help you the first time you fly so you don't hurt yourself," She gasped and tried tomflap her wings, but kept falling. Scr.eaming, River plunged into the ground.
