Favorite medium, huh? Well, I don't have a lot of experience with a variety of mediums; however, nothing beats (for me) using the good old fashioned pencil (colored pencils, too!). Although, I've become quite fond of digital work since coming to Colors.

Long story-

Lei was a part of the first batch of human subjects to be dested on with pokemon dna. The program that started this research, named 'Pokeloid', was underground. Scientists worked on their dna testing with the utmost of secrecy. Although, this made it difficult to find test subjects. Determined to see their project through, they began drafting random candidates from around the city. All they would do was send a letter to the family or individual stating they were being recruited for a vague government-related program. The next day, a group of people in white suits would take the selected individual away. In the case of Lei, she was 11 when she was taken. She being an only child and from a rich family made her blind from the possibility of being drafted. Even her father, who had a high place in society, had tried to bribe the program associates into not choosing his daughter. (still continuing.....) xD

Nevertheless, the dreaded letter arrived and Lei was abruptly taken away.
Once she reached one of the many hidden facilities within the city, she found herself dumbfounded. The scientist were far from her 'gifting' parents. They were harsh and cruel - just like their evasive tests. After 6 long years of testing, word broke out through the confines of the cells the test subjects were kept that the first subject had escaped on of the facilities. This dawned a new hope to the broken souls within the program. They staged a breakout and through careful planning, many accomplished just that. However, not everything was the same. Lei had grown an unrelinqishing hate over the years. Her mind, scrambled by the tests, and a burning heart full of a lust for revenge was all that remained. She decided nothing could fill her emptiness other than the blood of ALL of those privilaged enough to not have been selected. It was then she set out to live her twisted focus. (...)

Yet, even revenge lost its luster and she found that she had quite enjoyed watching the horror erupt from the faces of the people she slayed. Losing all understanding, she started to ki.ll for the 'joy' she gained from it. After all, the voice inside her head that had been silent was now beginning to call out to her. The voice was more than just a part of her insanity, it was going to be her downfall.

It is Vanilluxe! (*near the end of the story since the scientists found that you can inject yourself to cause an 'evolution' type state similar to what Pokemon have. That being said, she started as a Vanillish, not a Vanillite.) This why she begins to hear a voice. It is really just the other 'her' that wasn't brought into a sustainable form OHMYGOSH PICTURE IDEA YESHHHH

^ Also, in her original design, her hair was white but I changed it for the sake of not having two white-(well, white and silver) haired ocs :D

Hmmm....depends when in her life he meets her. Early (after escape), she'd probably just dismiss him as long as he didn't get in her way (He has some abilities that would make her see him as just another person who was tested on :3) However, later in life, she'd probably attempt to ki.ll him or play mind games with him until she got bored (Although, while insane, she wouldn't do anything too rash to get herself ki.lled. So, like when she'd begin to lose against Kiraichu, she'd back off. He'd definitely win against her with her mind going haywire, though) Dx

I'm not sure just how much you know about Kiraichu but he has a certain attack, eventually, that can 'humanize' a foeif struck with said attack. It basicaly nullifies any supernatural attack for a temporary amount of time. :p Also he can become a being of lightning. XD Oh and the effects and strength of his attacks vary on his emotions. :o You're sooo kind!! T^T You're so amazing. Thanks for supporting me.

Actually he can only use that attack once per 24 hours. He needs to make it count. :p His strongest attacks have a waiting period of minutes and that's bad in the midst of battle when many can be slain in 30 seconds. Explain away!! Oh and he may seem "OP" but it's because of his enemy Asterisk. Although Kiraichu fights best when by Shurais side.

No, I fear my wording was inncorrect to describe him. He seems to have an impressive arsonal of attacks at his disposal. Any situation, it seems, he has a way to counter it. Although, I absolutely love the 'cooldown' effect with some of his attacks. It brings up a lot of strategy and tactics that would be necessary for him to use in a battle. I see him having no problem analysing a situation and being able to act accordingly. :D I'm utterly impressed with the thought you put into his character.

As for Lei's fighting style, it drives a lot from the common description if ice-type Pokemon. Her main gimmick to battling is that as time progresses (as she uses more ice-based attacks), her body begins to freeze (literally turns to solid ice). Now, this becomes a problem for two reasons. 1), it raises the possibility she will freeze to death and 2), she loses a bunch of speed/evasive abilities. Nevertheless, she has a core temperature monitor (the set of objects on her left side) that allows her to gage the strategy behind her attacks. However, there are bonuses to her body freezing as well. For example, her defense is increased a bunch (have fun trying to break through solid ice). In addition, her attacks become much more powerful. Either way, she is the type of battler that relies on patience and understanding the battle. After all, her oponent will freeze to death long before she would.

Do her powers allow her to weaken her enemies muscles over time!!? :o Oh and Kiraichu isn't exactly coordinated. He makes mistakes at times because he doesn't fully understand someone. That's why masked foes are a problem. He can't read their expressions. Lei seems very tanky like she can take a hit!! :o How does she deal against fire?? Does she carry some of Ice Pokemon type weaknesses??

Oh and FYI he doesn't always win. XD Because that would be borringg :p

Of course Kiraichu wouldn't win all the time and mistakes are to be expected :P but dang, he is one powerful fellow!
Well, as you can imagine, being consistenly bombarded by ice-attacks and a raging blizzard would cause the oponent's (or anyone for that matter) body to begin to deteriorate. It would be too cold for most people's bodies to handle. Oh, and she is only really a tank when her body begins to freeze. Until then, she is pretty squishy and relies heavily on staying evasive and hidden!
She is effected by fire as well as many of the other ice-type weaknesses. Fire is especially lethal considering that in both of her 'phases' she is greatly weak to it. However, when 'tanking', she can withstand greater levels of heat.

Do you mean the move 'take down?' xD Haha, because remember, the 'poke-people' have the ability to evolve so technically Mairu is a Metang (with that pokemon's moveset.) Her design is just based on that of Beldum (because that was what she was first tested on with). I don't think I'll drastically change her design when she evolves into a Metagross but I haven't decided :U

Oh but wait D: at that size, she wouldn't be able to generate massive amounts of electricity (She'd have to be careful of having too much power for her tiny body as well). Any thoughts for a skip around to that? I suppose if we did follow that she had an excess of emelga d.n.a in the body, her ability to handle energy would surpass that of a normal human.

Pikachu is the same height as Emolga yet it still generates mass amount of energy. XD The problem for ger would be storing electricity. If she doesn't discharge the electricity, whwn there's too much, she'll become sick. Kinda like Pikachu did. I'm thinking of her design now!! :D

Yes, while both Pokemon can generate massive amounts of energy, the problem is that she would be only 'part pokemon' so not all characteristics would carry through.(just like your idea for storing energy) :D I just realized...she probably had to have a bunch of organ transplants and I'd guess have a child's organs :O (to fit her size) That would be horribly tramatic. >-<

Uh, if they made a capture device for gijinkas, it'd be the same as capturing humans...which would be weird.

I like to believe all of her, even her systems, to make room for all the elecricity that flows through but maybe that's silly. :o I made her a tad different from your Gijinkas though. The scientists gave her a unique suit that responds to her infused d.n.a to be capable of flight like a normal Emolga would. She'd make a great spy. XD As for her Electric "pouches" I think that needs work. :p

Not necessarily! I don't see that as silly. If she does have a suit to allow her to function better (which is completely acceptable and awesome!!!), it might have its own system to allow her to live without all of a human's neccesities. I don't have any clear ideas for how that could work but it'd make an interesting concept.
As tiny as she is, haha, yeah she would be a great spy! Hmmmmm, the pouches would be hard to incorperate....

Most gijinka (depends on the typing) sustain themselves through the same food as humans and while Lei is a part of that group, she has to consume a BUNCH of water (she probably only eats 'human' food once a week and water replaces the rest of her meals. )
