Its my main way.
I'm lazy so I use simple, yet good looking eyes.
Usual... Well, that self explainitory.
Improved... I made the edges sharper and gave them some curve.
Cartoony... I start off with a circle, erase some off the top and bottom, and draw lines.

I like the improved one, but you can choose the one that's suitable for the painting c:I have TONS of styles,so I use a specific one depending on the mood of the painting.

Whichever eye feels most fitting for a character, i say. Try slightly different eyes for each character you do.
