THANK YOU. I saw footage of the game, and it was taken down for copyright reasons very quickly. There's a chance it was real. But i'm so sad because I'm a big KIU fan and alotta hate;s being thrown at it bc dark pit's his own character (gonna guess this is what you were talking about) And dark pit and pit are two completely different characters despite what alotta people think! Yeah, I've come to the realization that it's impossible to avoid spoilers now when it comes to the Smash roster, and I've finally come to accept it. It's just nostalgia, anyways. :P

As for the topic at hand, people just don't know what making a game of this magnitude is like. I think the clone characters came as a result of making alt. costumes for Mario, Pit, and Marth, until someone said "Why don't we just make these guys their own characters?" Clones have always existed in fighting games, and they always will.

Even with the leak, we still have about a month to get over it and be excited for smash bros, cause end of the day, thats what matters, the leaks havent shown every little detail, thats for us to explore when the game comes out, who could be mad at that?
