Rudy's cold blue-green gaze bore down into the Toxciel. She was too close to his home. How'd she even get this close without him noticing...?
The Dreadbeat shook his broad head. Everyone slips up every now and then. The Toxciel girl squinted at him. It seemed she was studying him verrry intently.
"This is my territory. Leave," Rudy barked. (Can they open their mouths to talk? If not, let's pretend this is telapathical).
The Toxciel flinched. "Oh heeeeck no," she hissed in response, "you don't order me around." Rudy was caught off guard by her...rudeness. His request was simple enough...
The Dreadbeat bounded down a few bolders to get on the same level at the Toxciel. Rudy was a good few feet taller than her, though.
"I asked that you leave," the burgundy Dreabeat pressed.
"And I said I don't take commands from strangers," came the hissed response, followed by a spontaneous wince. The Toxciel rubbed her horns a minute, then coughed quite vi'olently. (cont)

Poisonous, indigo blood splattered the ground as the Toxciel coughed and hacked. Rudy tilted his head curiously. /Is she ill?/ He wondered. Nothing healthy vo'mitted blood...
Her eyes bore nothing but pain and weakness now. All her past defiance gone.
"Do you have a name...?" Rudy inquired quietly, gently. The Toxciel looked up, bewildered. She took a few shuddering breaths, then pulled herself together.
"I have none...I have no need for one," She hissed, attempting to hide the sadness in her quivering voice.
Rudy's gaze softened. He wasn't sure what was wrong with her...but he'd let this Toxciel hang around. "Well if you wanna stay here, you need one. I'll call you Aloma," He simply stated, his voice not inviting a challenge.
"A-...Aloma...?" The ginger-and-white Toxciel breathed.
"It's a pretty name for a pretty creature like yourself," Rudy said simply, then turned and bounded back to his original perch--a board rock jutting out from the clifface. (cont)

"I'm Rudy. Call for me if you need something," He finished, then bounded away, not waiting for a response. Would Aloma stay in the mountains? Maybe he wouldn't be so alone now...but he'd definitely have to keep an eye on her.
End u.u
I'd like to remind everyone Dreadbeats and Toxciels belong to the ever so fab @DanteWolf
