Looks best on mid-brightness.
I started with the intention of using my thicker-outline-painterly style, but I wanted to practice using better contrast, so I used this instead. I did the outline then colored the whole thing in grayscale, because it's much easier to fine tune contrast without color. After that, I used the grayscale layer as a guide as I laid down -c-

actual hues. I then continued to complete it like any other picture (rendering.) I kept the grayscale layer just as a reference for myself, but you guys can check it out if you want.
Haaaaaaagh. Four and a half hours. I really wished it looked better for taking that long, but I guess I'm still happy with it.
