In a small village of Pokemon, an elderly Hariyama sat in front of a chess board. On the opposing side sat the opponent, a Medicham from a neighboring town. 'Checkmate' said the Hariyama, as he moved a his Rook to the winning position. 'Wha?... Err... You're quite the chess player Humo' said the psychic type, still dumbfounded on how she had lost. 'Years of practice my dear.'The Hariyama replied as he extended his enormous hand. Medicham cringed for a second, but then happily accepted the handshake. 'So, there was a reason you came here?' Humo the Hariyama said, sitting back down on his floor mat. 'Ah, yes.' Medicham perked up, as she sat across from the giant mass of muscle. 'In the village of the psychics, we seem to have a problem, and we would like your village's help to stop it.' Humo looked shocked. 'Your village is looking for help from one of it's greatest rivals? What did you do, pi'ss off Arceus?' Medicham Chuckled a bit. 'No, no. Nothing like that. -continued down-

'We seem to have run into trouble with a certian band of rogues.' 'Rogues?!' Humo looked even more shocked 'Are you telling me the great Village of the Psychics having trouble dealing with a few petty theives?' Medicham's expression hardened. 'Do you have any idea WHO the rogues are? Ever heard of the Pink Weavile Gang? They're an infamous band of Sneasel, led by a shiny Weavile. As a psychic village, very few of us stand much of a chance against them. The ones of us who do, quickly get outnumbered and defeated. Nearly 40 percent of all of our villagers have been seriously wounded by the gang. Under any normal circumstances, we wouldn't even consider looking for help, and least of all from your village, but please, we're desperate please...' Tears began to roll down Medicham's face as she kneeled down begging the Hariyama. Humo stood up, and began to walk away ,then stopped. 'I think I understand the severity of the situation. Allow me to offer my village's support.' -continued down-

Night fell quickly that night, as Humo, and a large group of pokemon stood guard arround the Village of the Psychics. 'No sign of them.' Humo sighed. He turned to Medicham. 'Are you sure the gang's coming?' Just then, they heard a twig snap as a Sneasel ran past, using Night Slash on the unexpecting Medicham. Medicham fell to her knees in pain. 'Here they come' she gasped. 'Ready? FIGHT!' With a powerful clap, the Hariyama commanded his mon to rush at the gang. The two sides faught as hard as they could, but in the end, the fighting types came out victorious. The Pink Weavile Gang fled. Humo stayed behind, tending to Medicham's wounds as the rest of the pokemon happily, and heartily went home. 'That should do it' the Hariyama said, as he stood to his feet. 'I think I'll be on my way.' As Hariyama left, he noticed there was a trail left behind by the Weavile gang, presumably from previous raids. -continued down-

Humo paid them no mind as he continued on through the dark forest; that is until something caught his eye. it seemed to be a pokemon egg. He approached it, and picked it up. 'Still warm... The child should still be okay.' Humo reluctantly turned arround. 'I had better get this back to the psychics.'
'I wouldn't recomend that' A sharp voice said, as a small pink and gold pokemon leaped out of the shadows. Humo set the egg down, and got into a fighting position. 'You want to fight again? Did you not learn last time Weavile?'
'Ah, so formal. You can just call me Vio gramps. It's not like you're going to be able to call me that for long. The Weavile said sharpening it's claws.
'HEY! WHAT'S WITH THE ATTITU-' Just then, from the shadows, a Sneasel leaped out and struck Humo with an Aerial Ace.
Vio grinned. 'Don't panic, but you're surrounded.' Another Sneasel flew out from the trees, at the massive Hariyama, only to be smacked away by an enormous orange hand. -continued down-

Vio let out a cry, and a horde of Sneasel flung themselves at Humo. The Hariyama used Protect, then followed with a few swift movements that left piles of inconcious Sneasel bodies lying on the floor. 'What do you want with this child?' Humo demanded. Vio snickered. That egg was taken from the arms of it's parents by one of our weaker minded members. Something about caretaking of an orphan' I let him keep it, just so if it hatched, whatever came out of there, I'd use to strengthen my gang.' At this point Humo had heard enough. He grabbed Vio in one of his massive orange hands. 'OH NO YOU WON'T!' With a single Force Palm, Vio was unconcious. Humo went to pick up the egg, when suddenly, it began to glow. When the glow faded, there stood a small, Psychic pokemon. Curiously, it looked up at the 7 foot Hariyama. Humo smiled. 'Come on kid. You're coming home with me.' he said as he picked up the Ralts in his Massive hands. -continued down-

'Come child, we're going home.' he said, as he walked on home. He felt the Ralts warm up a bit, as a sign of hapiness. Humo put the baby over his shoulder and sighed. 'I can tell, you're going to be great one day kid. I'll train you hard, and keep you safe. You'll be able to get through anything that comes your way. I promise... Now, with all that sappy stuff out of the way, I only have one more thing to say.' 'Humo grinned. I hope you like chess...'

That was certaintly quite a bit to read through but it was a well thought out story nonetheless. Esense is definitely lucky to have been taken care of by one such as Humo.
