Quick Trivia: The green letters are actually Russian. When translated it spells the word "Laika" (if you know the signifigance of this name then you'll see some ironic foreshadowing)

PART 1: Darkness... All I saw was complete darkness, my head still was spinning from the chaotic madrush over the last twenty-minutes. The crash, the frantic race for our lives to the escape pods, the vertigo of the pure g-force threatening to crush my ribs, the sudden flood of water, the struggle out of that metal deathtrap. Before I knew I knew it I was laying upon soft sand gasping to recover my breath, my environmental-mask threatening to fog up from the sheer rapidness of my breathing. All I knew was that poor Grecks was laying at the bottom of the ocean from a fractured skull and Simmons most likely went down with the ship. There was no telling if everyone else's escape-pods survived the landing, the thought of being the only survivor was to much to bare at that momment. Turning over I took a look at my surroundings through the darkness of night, I was on a sandy shoreline with a line of thicketed forest on the distance.

I quickly felt the environmental-mask to make sure the seal was not broken, the last thing I needed was to get a lung-full of pure neon gas or whatever atmosphere this alien world might of had. The seals were still good and the gage stated I had at least thirty-four hours of presurization left, giving me barely enough time to find any of the other escape-pods and getting a fresh micro-tank. I looked up towards the treeline and ocean horizon, searching for any flares or smoke trails. To my dismay I saw none, I cursed under my breath, this was not going to be easy. Shrugging off the pain from my legs and ribs I walked slowly into the treeline along a wide trail. If I had been more lucid I would have wondered how the trail was formed or the curiosity of mangrove trees on this alien world. At this point I was too tired and shell-shocked to focus on anything else, taking things one step at a time. Like a sleepwalker I unthinkingly stumbled along the trail, unaware of anything else.

PART 3: I was vaguelly aware of dim lights on the horizon when I finnally collapsed from pure exaustion ten minutes later, as I lay upon the shrubbey haunted ground I began to passout. When I opened my eyes morning had come, and with it a group of unexpected visitors. When I first saw them squating on the ground curiously staring at me, I immediately freaked out. My first thought went to predatory scavengers and I quickly bolted upwards while swinging to try to scare the beasts off. To my horror I saw the strange things stand upon two legs and jump backwards in surprise, these were no simple wild animals. My stomach tied itself into knots at the sight of these things, hairy monstrosities that looked like something a mad scientist spliced together in a lab. Whatever these alien-lifeforms were, I was not going to let them have the upper hand. While trying to search for a branch or stick I could use as a spear, one of them surprisingly chirped out in a sing-song voice "Welcome Welcome!"

PART 4: My jaw dropped at these words and at first I thought I was imagining it. Another one sang out "A new friend you are, you are! Come with us, follow friendly!". At this they all began jumping up and down and pointing down the trail, my mind still was trying to register what was happening. In the deepest corners of my mind I simi-rationalized that perhaps the new translation unit worked a little TOO well, being able to translate alien speech no one had ever heard of before. In pure shock I nodded and followed the strange things, those that had tails were shaking them in pure excitement. What made me so disturbed staring at the strange aliens was how almost ape-like their bodies were in comparison to their inhuman skulls and tails. Looking at them I could of sworn they looked like malformed humans with the heads of common critters. If ol' Doc Shapers was here I bet he'd have a feild-day with trying to figure out how such a spechies could of develloped in parallel to Earth life

PART 5: I displaced the thought, it'd be scientifically impossible for such parallel development to occur, I was most likely tired and imagining things. Upon reaching a large flat clearing I saw a scattered array of ramshacked buildings strung together with dead trees, vines, rock, and whatever they could find. It recalled the old imagine of Shantytowns and scavenger camps, it was amusing to see the lack of construction-skill used on the ugly structures. The entire town, for a better use of the word, was crawling with the alien beings. The sheer variety of shapes and apperances made me question whether I was looking at one strangely dimorphic spechies or hundreds of different spechies. Whatever these things were they definately were far more bizzare then any creature evolved on Earth. My guides began crying out in pure joy for all to hear "A friend! A friend of new, crawled from the sea this friend did see!". At this the mob moved swiftly towards me, their grotesque faces grinning.

PART 6: They all began reaching their disformed limbs out to try to touch me, asailing me with questions and cheery comments. I held my hand out to silence the massive mob and said "I am Lt. Lynsi Glaseon of the cargo-hauler Cicada, I am looking for my crew. Have you seen anyone like me or any large metalic objects?". At this they dumbly continued smiling like brainless lapdogs, it was obvious they did not really understand what I meant by "ship" or "crew". Suddenly a short owl-like villager said sing-songly "That's funny, this new friend is funny. You're the only one of you for only right now, but that's okay. We're all friends, happy and happy to live each day". I sighed at this, it was going to be a very long day trying to pull information from these air-headed aliens. As they grabbed my arm and led me away further into the village I offhandingly heard one say "The Spirits have great plans for you! Very great plans!". If only I knew what he meant, if ONLY.....

Sounds good so far! I did notice a few grammatical errors, but very minor ones like bare instead of bare and the lack of semi-colons in some places.

*like bare instead of bear. Oops. XD
