why is everybody freaked out about "Lavender town?" its just a pokemon game, who would be freaked about that?

there was an old rumor that started that the origional release of the lavender town song caused sui.cide/seizures and stuff like that... :T it had started tons of lavender town paranoia
(and to back it up has a few strange dialouges between the npc's and the graveyard tower, the only instance in which pokemon have actually dided o3o) All based around creepy atmosphere /-^-/

stories have also been created that causes paranoia/based on Lavender town ex: buried alive, the white hand, etc. o3o

It's more the stories/rumors that pop up that make people freak hype about it :V
