Aw, thanks. And yeah, that blasted thermodynamics! :C Total bummer, I hope people in the future will figure out a way to control it. But as far as earth-centered society cares, all things get better. sla.very? gone. World Wars? gone, and so on.

History repeats itself. Throughout the history of the world, things gave changed, for both the better and worse.
As far as society, wether it's better than it used to be is a matter of opinion. To me, the world has been improved technologically, but corrupted morally. For now, it will only get worse. Sure, there's a lot of good out there, but we're only human.
However, you are right. One day, things will indeed get better. No one knows when that day will come, but it will happen when no one expects it.
