I can't tell you percisely, but I can tell you it reminds me of something that only exist in the realm of my dreams.
There are no gyms in Pokemon Colosseum or XD, but you can enter colloseum battles.
In Colosseum there are no wild pokemon.
In XD you have to put bait in certain places to attract wild pokemon.
In both games the hero, you, are fighting against an evil corperation, Cipher, that has been artifically closing the door to pokemons' hearts to make them better fighters. Steal back these evil Shaddow Pokemon and purify them, opening up the doors to their hearts and defeat Cipher once and for all!
In Colloseum you fight them first as in adult hero/heroine.
After that there's 5 years of peace, then comes XD. Yes, Cipher is back, and it's up to a young boy to stop them.
