I know the story, but I still think that's pretty poor foresight by the standard of god. Using the bible to back up god doesn't makes sense, since the bible is wrong on so many other occasions. If you want to argue for god you must think of another reason besides the bible, because then you're just using circular logic. That story cannot be proven unless you say god exists, but if you want to prove god you have to use the bible. That's circular logic. Saying "the bible is right because of god because the bible proves him" is completely illogical.

Also, even if there was a god like the one in the bible, I wouldn't be happy with that god since he basically gave us free will, but only believing in him will get you to heaven. So every other religion and then people like me who don't have a religion are ALL going to hell. Over half of the world is going to hell. You said god didn't plan for this... then how does he know everything? If he really does know everything, then he would not have felt regret, because he should have known the consequences to his own actions. How come people are responsible for their actions, but not god? He doesn't sound loving or good at all, to create people the way we are without knowing the consequence, to punish people the way he does, and to only allow one way of thinking to get you into heaven... that doesn't sound loving, that sounds abusive and cruel. And before you tell me "god is loving but is also JUST" to back THAT up, I would LOVE it if you told me how slavery is JUST and how the ways god let people die is JUST and how half the world is going to hell is JUST.
