Just imagine if it had been released in the age of fangirls. There'd be so many fan theories and art and dissections and gifs and bluh.

Eh, one can dream. I'm just utterly disgusted at how many people don't know it even exists...

Also, ever wondered what those little imperfections on his cheeks are? Obviously the animators went through the trouble of putting them there...not a scar, since it's on both sides of his face...not dimples, since they're always there...

Well, apparently back in the 2000s, Jim had his full share of fangirls. (And I can see why, I mean he's really attra--I'm way above this never mind I'm not going to add to this never mind.)

Ahem...anyway, I agree. But maybe it's for the best. If we were in a fully alive Treasure Planet fandom, half of it would be shallow fangirls getting all possessive over Jim. So maybe Treasure Planet is obscure for a reason. Like how dinosaurs died out for a reason. Hm... *writes an alternate version of Jurassic Park where we revive the fandom but then get attacked by rabid fangirls and have to escape the island*

I adore GOTG, but Jack is waaaaaay overrated. The other Guardians are equally interesting (finally read Tooth's backstory in the art book...she was originally a bird, not a human. Whodathunkit.), but everyone latches onto Jack.
Not that I have a problem with him (he isn't pouty like Jim) ((hahahahaha rhymes)), but...eeeehhh. I guess whatever atractive young person is in the lead automatically gets fangirls.

That's my main problem with animation. Can't we get more movies about young kids or middle-aged/seniors? Does it all have to be attractive young adults? Can't we have more movies like Iron Giant and Up?

I get it, I get it...attractive young people sell more toys than scrawny kids or old men with walkers. But...wish that stigma would break.

Granted, I'm a hypocrite if there ever was one. I got swoon at the sight of HTTYD 2 Hiccup, but sssshhhhhhhhh...

GOTG, ROTG, GOTG...how many 'OTG' movies do we have now? XD
