At first I was planning to use a Cactus-like pokemon as a mascotte, but one day I drew a Spoink for fun. And somebody I know IRL told me "pfff, Spoink's evolution is ugly, and it's lame anyway!". I thought that was rude, because I've always thought Spoink was very cute (even if I don't like Grumping), so I began to use Spoink all the time. Fortunately, he is really easy to draw quickly, so he make a good character for announcement and tutorial! =3 And that's the story! 8D
