That feel is my life. I usually like to use bigger styluses. Sometimes I use mechanical pencils with the lead withdrawn so long as I have a screen protector.

thats what it was like with my old 3DS x'D
Ever since I got this new one ive been using screen protectors constantly and protecting it like a babe. touch screens aint free n easy to replace m8

Oh my lawdy lawd I KNOWWW! Chu.mpy li'l 3DS screen is all scritchy and won't allow me comforting smooth, crisp movements!
