But Hatty refuses to let him go and holds him tightly and close in return, huffing in annoyance as he knew the flailing wouldn't do him any good...until Chase managed to get away for a few minutes. After a tiring chase, he collapses again but this time, he's knocked out cold. When they get back to Hatty's mansion thing, Hatty, of course, tends to the scratches and cuts and such, cleaning them and bandaging them. After awhile of some well deserved sleep, the now-cleaned-up Chase awakens to find himself in a mansion and is very confused.

He also notices he had been laying his head down on someones lap...but who's lap? Well, after a little bit of a conversation, Hatty asks him what his name is, and why he was so wonked up. Chase responds, saying that he never really knew his own name, but he was always called profain words, to say the least. After some coaxing and a kiss on the forehead to reassure everything was okay, he also explains about his parents, and all that jazz. When Hatty hears of this, he frowns with upset and anger. How could they do that him? Well....after some rather unpleasant thoughts towards them, Hatty decides to call him Chase, because he can sure put up a good one when he was determined!

Heres where it gets less detail and a bit cheesy, for now. One thing leads to another, and Chase falls head over heels in love with Hatty. Though, Hatty seems too oblivious to this, no matter how painfully obvious. When he thought the time was right, Hatty decided to introduce Chase to new people. Oh, but alas, as he was going to finally tell Hatty his feelings, Victoria narrows her eyes and tries to get all the attention towards herself. But then, when he taps him on the shoulder, he begins to say, "H-Hatty."
"Yes?" Hatty blinks, curiousity half there.
"Um..I was wondering if I could maybe tell you a secret?"
"Oh! Yes, you can tell me whatever you want to, m'dear."
"Well..Hatty, I...Love y-you.,.It'd okay if you don't like me ba-"
but before he could finish, Victoria pulls Hatty into a forceful kiss, trying to get Chase to shut up. The corners of his eyes are already stinging, and not too long afterwards he begins to cry hot tears, trying to hold them back.

Was this what having your heart broken felt like? He knew nothing but sadness up until now, where he was feeling anger, jealousy, regret, and a mix of other emotions all at once. When Hatty's struggle to push Victoria off finally succeeded, he looks up at Chase, taking him by the hand.
"Chase, I-"
"N-no, it's fine. I kind of figured you probably already had a girlfriend anyways...R-right so...I'm gonna go now...I'm sorry for this.." And with that, he runs off. It had only been a year or two of living with Hatty for those feelings to develop, but all of them had just been flushed down the drain. After Hatty managed to catch him within a short time, he gave him a tight hug and held him by the waist. "Chase, look...I don't have a girlfriend. Victoria is just an as.s who wants me all to her and herself only, but she means nothing to me."

"How d-do I know you aren't lying to make me feel better, eh?"
"Because if we were just friends, would I do this..?"

Suddenly, Hatty was trailing kissed from Chase's neck closer and closer until...Yep, he kissed him on the mouth! Chase's eyes widen more than they ever had before, and he slowly melts into it. Thats all I have for now!
