Mona Lisa by damillington
Portrait of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa painted on my iPhone. This is the most difficult painting I've done on the iPhone so far, it took lots of tweaking until I was resonably happy with the face. I hope you like it!

Hm. This is the first Mona Lisa i see in this gallery. one should think the "most famous painting ever" would have been copied before. really nice reproduction!

This is a great painting. Although, it would have been a really kick butt painting if you had put the cracks in the paint like the original. :) Your attention to detail is fantastic. Plz, keep posting more.

Very nicely done. I agree that one would think there would be more Mona Lisa studies, but this sets the bar high.

thanks for the comments. I was surprised myself i haven't seen any other Mona Lisa's. I'm tempted at doing more copies of famous paintings, it was certainly a challenge.
@Inque, Actually It did cross my mind to put the cracks in but it would be an absolutely mammoth task!! maybe i'll be tempted someday to do it :-)

@ ahahah. I did a quick search and found your version of the mona lisa. It's very nice. I liked the simple sketchy ink style. You did really well at capturing her in so few marks. I also think the close up cropping works really well. Excellent painting and thanks for the comment!

thanks for finding that. it's really interesting watching the play back of that one and seeing at the amount of tweaking and development as the painting progresses. great version as well :)

Awesone job!! Since you did this on the iPhone, did you have a stylus to use or just with your fingers? Because i use the iPhone with a stylus and my drawing is really bad. I hope to soon get colors! On my DSi so ny drawings will look a lot better but i was wondering how you got it so good.
