So. Six hour drive to get to Baltimore. With nothing but sketchbooks and a 250plus page book I finished before we even got to Maryland. Bluh. I also managed to fill up one of the sketchbooks. When we got to the city, I got really unnerved. See, I've grown up in a part of Ohio where there's always trees in the background. Everywhere you look, they're in the distance. So I was feeling unprotected and in the open with the comfort of trees replaced with unfamiliar tall buildings. I don't like cities.
Supreme itself was unusual. Instead of Rainbow girls in stations, the official occupants were old ladies. Even the real Supreme Worthy Advisor was an elderly woman, but she had a Rainbow girl as the "Acting Supreme Worthy Advisor" who did all the SWA speaking lines.
Since Rainbow is international, we did see foreign girls. Girls from Bolivia, the Phillipines, Romania, and Australia were there. (cont.)

Surprisingly, on the first day, NOT everyone and God made a speech. That was really cool because I hate when every single person in the East speaks for like 10 minutes.
They had 'skits', which were basically the GWAs from every juristiction doing a lap around the Supreme Floor in a costume while someone talks about their juristiction. But it did have cool music.
We got to go to the Cheesecake Factory twice, and I got a cheesecake of chocolatey and peanut buttery goodness the second time. (the first time we went, we were pressed for time so no cheesecake)
They did have Pledge Initiation, (which i never knew was a thing; in my assembly we just said "oh hey you're a pledge" to new pledges) a Rainbow Initiation, and a Rainbow Installation. We went to a Rainbow mixer party and got pizza & candy, and I got to swim in the hotel pool yesterday. I made friends from Maine there. (cont.)

The theme of SA was about lighthouses and beaches, so there was a cute lil' boardwalk thingy over sand and seashells you could go on. And a miniature version of a famous Maryland lighthouse with a working light. I went to go look at it the first night, but my mum shrieked at me and threatened to beat me in public because people in the vicinity of the East (where the little replica was) were taking pictures and she didn't want me anywhere near them. At the end of SA, I got to fill a little baggie with sand and shells. And the new Supreme Worthy Advisor's theme was music. Which is cool.
They had a Flag Calvacade, which was basically a flag parade. But UGH, they played Let It Go. That song is so overdone and I'm sick of it.
When we started the long drive home, I was immensely relieved when we left the city and the trees came back into the background. (cont.)

On the drive home, we stopped in Pennsylvania at a place called "Living Treasures", a zoo where you could pet the animals and feed them carrots and/or feed. (Except the carnivorous animals like tigers and jaguars, for obvious reasons. Or the prairie dogs because they'd bite you) IT WAS SO FREAKIN' FUN. HOLY CRUD. We spent most of the time with the giraffes, Levi and Blue Jeans. Except they wouldn't interact with you unless you had carrots for them. But omg, their tongues. Hilarious. When feeding carrots to them they'd stick out their tongues and curl them around the carrot.
Also, I fed little (coc'katiels, lovebirds, etc.) birds and got them to climb onto my hand numerous times. I loved that so much ^w^
There was this peaco'ck who was basically allowed to roam through the place freely. We saw him chilling on top of one of the macaw cages.
I even got to pet baby goats and they were freakin' adorable ermagerd
best zoo place ever
hands down
