Don't worry about excuses. My one remaining grandparent has had cancer multiple times too. Plus I know how crazy life can get in general. Also, thank you for bringing up the word supernatural because I had been tinking about how love is an invisible con.nection and why we love those we do love, if that con.nection builds with time or is sudden, like souls bonding, and we just need time to see or understand it.
