May I have your opinions on the app Comic Workshop? I read @Snow Paw 's post and the comments on it, and I know the app's for making comics and it's got a little canvas and there isn't an online community yet and stuff, but it'd help me if you told me how you think it's good.
And, is there a one-panel style? or is that the whole idea and then you just draw lines on it? How is it like Colors?
thank you, bye uvu

I haven't the slightest notion what it's about myself, but I'm thinking of getting it...

all right, thanks c:
the thing I kind of want to know most, though, is how do you get the lines/dividers/panels/whatever on the picture? Are there templates? Or do you draw them?

RE: No not really, in the part where I died what happened in my perspective was everything just went black.
Most of my other dreams are usually surreal or scary so I'm used to it anyways. :p
I don't think Ive heard much about this since it did just come out, and I'm not much of a comic making person myself. <xD

Reply: Welp, I mainly was hinting in the pic that Lophius is indeed eating cookies - or about to - except that YOU'RE the cookie. eUe

There are templates for the panels, but you also can edit the frames/make them yourself. There are stickers and stamps, speech bubbles, text tools, and a fill bucket. There's a lot of tools, and 28 (sometimes weirdly translated and sometimes obvious) tutorials on how to use them.
One of the things that annoys me, though, is that the app is a little slow. Especially when drawing. If you try to draw a circle quickly, it can't keep up with you and it will look more like a pentagon with straight lines for sides. I would prefer Colors for illustrations, but all the tools, especially with the panels, make Comic Workshop good for comics. I just find it harder to draw in CW, or maybe I just haven't gotten used to it yet.
What else? Oh yeah, the app is entirely 2D. No 3D. And there's an online gallery in Japan, but the creators claim to be working on one for English.
So, that was my really long review.

Well, it's eight dollars. Even more than Colors cost. I'd say, no, it's not worth eight dollars. But hey, is a large frappucino from Starbucks worth five dollars? Eh. If you're the type of person who will use the app to make comics, if you have the motivation, if you would make comics even if you didn't have this software, go for it. If not, then don't.
TBH, I don't even know if I'll be using CW for myself. :P If the online gallery opens up, maybe I'll make something just to show other people, but if it's just for me, I think I'll be sticking with pen, paper, and scanner.
