Great colors!
I think the ones the art profs slap are the ones that eschew any guidelines. The oldfashioned ones might also cringe at the perks of digital art, eg flipping.

This is so beautiful! I absolutely love the way you use color in your shading. Also. If a professor bothered you about your technique I'd likely slap them upside the head. Your art is absolutely amazing and you have 1000 people to vouch about that fact.

There is literally nothing unorthidox about this... if you swallowed paint & threw it up all over a canvas thatd be kinda odd, this isnt.
