THE BACK STORY:
Earlier this week, I was walking home on a fine and unusually sunny winter's day. I happened to look up, as I was deep in thought when I spotted - high above me on the power line - a blue and yellow little #bird. Having had realized that I've never seen this bird before, I stopped to admire it and take careful notes (I am a very observant person).
The bird was generally #turquoise, not #blue. And it's chest was #yellow and #white. I noted it's usually straight, long #beak. A #Kingfisher! I was absolutely delighted and knew I had to tell my fiance about it right away. I also knew I had to take the challenge of painting it.
Now imagine the convenience. It's #Maori #language week, I've seen a beautiful subject to paint and I want to end the week #relaxing!
