you re-did the sheep! hello again! sorry it took awhile to get back. in response to your query about grids: just take your original pic you want to reproduce & make horizontal lines across it, starting from the top, every inch (or two, or three-whatever you're comfy with). then, from left or right, create vertical lines every inch across (or whatever measurement you used for the horiz. lines). you can transform that original into as big or small (or equal) size as you like by drawing a grid (very lightly) onto whatever material you are drawing on in equal proportions-i.e. one inch square, original to four inch square, new drawing- for a bigger one. or one in. sq. original to five centimetres sq., new. On the 3ds it is possible to see a grid of alternating shaded/clear squares by selecting the '3d' option on your screen & then selecting the "show me only the current layer" option. then you can proceed to copy, square to square, switching layers when necessary. the 'zoom' function is wonderful for tiny squares!
Hope this was of some help to you!-Letty

p.s.-to have some fun & make a really 'weird' picture: make the grid on the original pic into the normal squares like i described. then, on your drawing pad, canvas, wall, etc., make another grid, with the SAME number of 'squares' but make the new 'squares' with slightly angled lines (both vert. & horiz.)...some off by two or three degrees & some off by five or ten degrees (or more). You can even make the lines wavy, if you want-just as long as the number of squares on the original pic equals the number of 'squares' on the new pic. Drawing a 'squished-up' area of square is as easy as drawing a 'ballooned-up' area. just refer to the orig. grid square & fit that entire area into the new 'square'. the new pic will look warped! you can actually do this in reverse, as well, to get the same effect, but it's easier the first way!-Letty
